Merry Christmas from Deb Fischer
In 1946, a new tradition was born in Nebraska’s Christmas City. A Methodist minister and a drama teacher in Minden put their heads together to dream up a new Christmas pageant. Their play, which would come to be called the “Light of the World” pageant, brought the Christmas story to life with color and excitement.

Seeing Santa at the Brandeis Store
By 1900, many department stores across America featured a live Santa Claus during the holiday season. Children typically sat on his lap and whispered their Christmas wishes into his ear. The Omaha Daily News on Dec. 18, 1909, published an interview with an Omaha man, Gust Schommer, “who plays Saint Nick at the Brandeis stores.”

Osmond wrestlers medal at home meet
OSMOND – This past week, the Osmond wrestling team competed at their home meet, and what a job they did! Each wrestler medaled, with Caleb Vinson and Carson Bolz received first, while Kaleb Gardner and Jaxon Vinson received second, Mason True received third, and Nicolas Velasco got his first two wins at a varsity meet and got seventh.
