The Osmond boys' junior high track team competed in two meets during the past week.

WSC holding two graduation ceremonies
WAYNE Wayne State College will hold commencement ceremonies for graduate and undergraduate students on Saturday, May 4, in the college's historic Willow Bowl amphitheater. The graduate student ceremony will be at 10 a.m. and the undergraduate ceremony will be at 1:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the ceremonies will be held in Rice Auditorium.

State’s crop progress and condition given
LINCOLN – For the week ending April 7, 2024, there were 5.0 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 12% very short, 29% short, 56% adequate, and 3% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 11% very short, 41% short, 44% adequate, and 4% surplus.

Three Osmond students in Pierce honor band
PIERCE – Osmond Community School had three talented young ladies participate in the 23rd annual Pierce Honor Band on Saturday, April 6. They included Erica Northcutt on alto saxophone, Ella Klein on flute, and Katarina Miller on clarinet. Eighth graders Ella and Erica were in the 8/9 grade band and seventh grader Katarina was in the 6/7 band. The concert was held at 3:30 pm.
