RANDOLPH – Funeral service for Marilyn M. Leiting, 78, of Randolph, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2025, at the Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Randolph. PMA Dwight Brummels will be officiating the service.

Private family interment will be held at the Prospect View Cemetery, Pierce. Pallbearers will be Schuyler Simpson, Kreighton Simpson, Keegan Rubendall and Hudson Rubendall. Marilyn passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Randolph. Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Randolph is in charge of the arrangements. Marilyn was born on April 21, 1946, in Norfolk, NE, to Reinhold and Lorinda (Bockelman) Zibell. She was baptized at Hope Lutheran Church in McLean and confirmed at St. John's

Lutheran Church in Randolph. Marilyn attended District #80 from kindergarten through eighth grade northeast of Pierce. She then attended and graduated from Pierce High School in 1964. She married Roger Leiting on Oct. 8, 1966, in Yankton, SD. After marriage, Marilyn and Roger lived in Magnet for a short time. They then moved to Randolph in 1970. She did house cleaning and home care. Marilyn enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, polka music and reli gious music, playing cards and bingo, listening to Lorretta Lynn, searching for garage sale treasures, visiting with friends, and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Randolph Quilting Group, Colonial Manor Ladies Auxiliary, and the Randolph Women's Club.

Survivors include her husband, Roger Leiting of Randolph; daughters Debra (Bobby) Bierschenk of Bartlett, Karla Lowe of Lincoln, and Brenda (Nathan) Simpson of Pierce; son Dustin (significant other Racheal Rubendall) Leiting of Wayne; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law Jennie Leiting of Plainview and her two children.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Reinhold and Lorinda Zibell; in-laws Leonard and Lillian Leiting; and brother-in-law Marlin Leiting.
