Brenda S. “Suz” Walton

PIERCE - Funeral services for Brenda S. 'Suz' Walton, 74, of Pierce, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025, at the United Church Of Christ in Pierce. Officiating the service will be Rev. Gordon Braun and Rev. Terry Buol. Interment will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in rural Plainview. Visitation was from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at United Church Of Christ in Pierce. Brenda passed away Thursday, Feb.

6, 2025, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk with family by her side. She had Addison's Dis ease and complications from CO- VID-19. Stonacek Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Brenda was born on Jan. 1, 1951, at Plainview to James and Barbara (Holmes) Evans. Brenda lived in the Plainview area and graduated from Elkhorn Valley High School in Tilden in 1969. Brenda married Gary Eichberger on June 5, 1971, at Stark Valley Church in rural Plainview.

After marriage, the couple lived in Norfolk, then moved to Pierce. From this union came Lisa and Kevin. Gary passed away in 1977 from Lupus.

Brenda worked at the Norfolk Re- gional Center as a ward tech. She was a homemaker, and did babysitting.

Brenda was married to Jimmy Walton on Oct, 4, 1981, at United Methodist Church in Pierce by Reverend Winkler. From this union came Jason and Danielle. The family lived in Pierce. Brenda worked at Dale Electronics for eight years and Wis-Pak in Norfolk 15 years and retired in 2016. Brenda enjoyed watching her grandchildren, watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and reading. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Pierce, taught Sunday School for many years, was a Cub Scout leader, and was a member of the Pierce Fire Depart ment Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Walton of Pierce; children: Lisa (Mike) Ross of Pierce, Kevin (KaLinda) Eichberger of Pierce, Jason Walton and significant other Katina Themelakis of Pierce, Danielle (Brandon) Hoffmann of Pierce, eight grandchildren: Derek and Halle Ross, Kohin, Kyler, and Keylin Eichberger, Paislee Walton, and Brayden and Brysen Hoffmann; mother, Shirley (Harold) Hansen; siblings Stan Evans o f Plainview, Barry (Margaret) Evans of Osmond, Randy (Diane) Evans of Pierce, Jerry (Verlene) Synovec of Randolph; sister-in-law Linda Evans of Tilden; mother-in-law Evelyn Eichberger of Plainview, and motherin- law Lorraine Walton of Plainview.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents James and Barbara Evans, husband Gary Eichberger, brother James Evans, and fathers-in- law Douglas Eichberger and Harold Walton.
