Rev. Gordon Bruce will be officiating the service. Inurnment will be held following the luncheon at McCoy Cemetery in rural Meadow Grove.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service on Thursday also at Stonacek Funeral Chapel.

Joyce passed away on Sunday, Jan.

19, 2025, at Osmond General Hospital in Osmond. Stonacek Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Joyce was born on July 31, 1942, in

Pierce to Jesse and Dorothea (Zierke) Thompson. She graduated from Norfolk Senior High School. Joyce married Edmond R. Ferry on Aug. 14, 1960, at the First United Methodist Church in Norfolk. After their marriage in 1960, they moved from Nebraska to Kansas, New Mexico and Oklahoma for work before moving to Pierce in 1996. The couple would later move to Norfolk. Joyce enjoyed traveling, going to casinos, raising her dogs, her deer collection, and buying trinkets at thrift stores for Christmas. She loved her family and spending time with them, she was proud of each one.

Survivors include her children Tamela (Kevin) Korth of Pierce, Tonette (Jeff) Bates of Plainview, and Timothy (Carrie) Ferry of Osmond; 22 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; three greatgreat- grandchildren, and siblings Jerry Smith of Norfolk, Jack (Karen) Thompson of Norfolk, James (Carol) Thompson of Norfolk, JoAnn Reed of Pierce, and Juanita (Randy) Holmes of Pierce.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond R. Ferry, in 2015; daughter Theresa Wiese; son-in-law Drew Wiese; brother Jesse Thompson; sisters-in-law Delma Smith and Sharon Thompson; brother-in-law Gerald Reed, and parents Jesse and Dorothea Thompson.
