Military rites for Floyd Timmerman of Yelleville, AR, will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery at a later date by American Legion Post 326, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7838 and Sons of the American Legion Unit 326 of Osmond. Floyd died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024. Born Sept. 7, 1932, near Plainview, Floyd Timmerman was the son of William and Viola Myrle (Urwin) Timmerman. He was baptized at Eden Valley Lutheran Church. He attended District 75 and 19E country schools and McLean High School through the 10th grade. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1954. After returning home from his military duties, he married Alice Bodfield. To this union seven

children were born: Randy, Connie, Carol, Kenny, Brenda, Renae and Karen. They lived in Louisville, NE, and he worked in Omaha at a meat-packing plant. Later, the couple divorced and he moved to Denver where he started working in a meat-packing plant. He then worked for the telephone company and later was a security guard. He later married. When he retired, they moved to Yelleville until he went to be with Jesus.

Survivors include his wife, Waneta Timmerman of Yelleville; children Randy of Persival, IA, Connie of Melbern, IA, Carol of Pleasant Valley, MO, Kenny of Sidney, IA, Brenda of Durrant, OK, and Karen of Omaha; brother Ralph Timmerman of Osmond; sister Cleo (Timmerman) Pfanstiel; sisters-in-law Elaine Timmerman and Sharon Timmerman, both of Norfolk, and Joanne Timmerman of Osmond; 25 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Renae; parents William and Viola Myrle Timmerman; brothers Lloyd, Howard and Raymond; half-brother Marvin; half-sister LaVern Enninga; sister-in-law Doyle Timmerman, and brothers-in-law Norris Pfanstiel and Marvin Enninga.
