HOLDREGE — A Mass of Christian Burial for Donna Beaudette will be held at 10:30 a.m., June 13, at All Saints Catholic Church, Holdrege, with Father Jay Buhman as celebrant.
Interment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery, Holdrege.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., June 12, at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home, Holdrege, with the family present. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Donna M. Beaudette, 88, Holdrege, died June 8, 2024, at the Phelps Memorial Health Center, Holdrege.
Donna was born in Randolph Dec. 5, 1935, the eighth of 11 children born to Osborn and Malania (Schmitt) Scott. She received her education at St. Frances de Chantal School, Randolph, and graduated with the Class of 1953. Following graduation, she worked for Northwestern Bell as a telephone operator.
Donna married Vonnie D. Beaudette, Wausa, July 24, 1954, in Randolph. They had seven children, Gregory, Scott, Susan, Daniel, Jimmy, Dale and Sharon. She worked many jobs while going to school, after getting married, and raising her children. Donna worked at Coast to Coast, now Ace Hardware, for 28 years.
She enjoyed flowers, crocheting, gardening, playing cards and games, and fishing. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and motorcycle trips with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law and motherin- law; two sons, Scott Beaudette and Greg Beaudette; husband, Vonnie; brothers, Dale, Lowell, Duane, Leon, Lamont and Gerald; infant sisterin- law, Corvalee; brothers-in-law, Delwyn, Elwyn, Ronnie and John; granddaughter, Kristina Cepel; and great-granddaughter, Gracelynn Kuss.
Donna leaves to celebrate her life her children, Susan Heppard and her husband, Noel, Springfield, Mo.; Daniel Beaudette and his wife, Lois, Seymour, Tenn.; Jimmy Beaudette and his wife, Delisa, Holdrege; Dale Beaudette and his wife, Dianne, Gering; and Sharon Kuss and her husband, Dan, Holdrege; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Gene Scott and wife, Ann, Phoenix, Ariz.; Lavern Scott and wife, Connie, Randolph; Larry Scott, Omaha; and Ronnie Scott and wife, Julie, Fremont; adopted sister, Sharon “Petie” Cook, Norfolk; two sisters-in-law, Judy Beaudette, Plainview, and Dorothy Beaudette, Center; two daughters-in-law, Vivian Beaudette, Holdrege, and Cindy Lou Beaudette, Grand Island; along with nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.
A memorial in Donna’s honor can be made to the family for future designation.
