OSMOND – Funeral services for Sally L. Gast-Lacy, 83, of Lincoln, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Osmond. Pastor Scott Kirchoff of-

ficiated the service. Interment was at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation was from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Osmond.

Sally passed on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at her Lincoln residence. Stonacek Memorial Chapel in Osmond is in charge of the arrangements.

Sally was born on Jan. 12, 1941, in Osmond to Howard and Viola Bomar. She graduated from Osmond High School and later went on to Norfolk and Omaha to higher education institutions for her lab and X-ray degrees. Sally and James Gast were married Feb. 21, 1959, until his passing in 2001. Throughout Sally’s life, she lived in Osmond, Lincoln and Phoenix. Sally worked for a medical facility in Osmond for Dr. David Johnson for several years while her children attended grade and high school. She also continued her education in the medical field and worked in Norfolk as a lab tech and x-ray tech. Sally always loved her coworkers wherever she was. She was a very talented seamstress, as both her mother and grandmother were very talented at the craft. She also knitted or crocheted dishcloths, afghans and blankets for her family. Card games were the entertainment of choice, regardless of her residence. Family and friends were always excited to go to her house or have her come over to play cards. This was a staple in her life! Sally and Glenn Lacy met in 2002 and were married in 2003. They spent over 20 years together between Lincoln and Phoenix, enjoying retirement with their numerous friends and dogs, Alex and Jessie.

Sally is survived by her husband, Glenn Lacy; son Bradley (Pamala) Gast, daughter Jayne Weaver, daughter Jackie (Marty) Kruse, son Jeff Gast, stepson Kyle Lacy, stepdaughter Kate (Steven) Sizemore, and sister Denise Kudera. Sally was also fortunate to have several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by husband James Gast; parents Viola Bomar and Howard Bomar; brother Kurt Bomar, and grandmotherAdelia Grau.
