OSMOND — Three young adult members of Immanuel Lutheran Church were confirmed during services on Palm Sunday, March 24, with Rev. Scott Kirchoff officiating at the 9:30 a.m. service. The Rite of Confirmation included introduction of the confirmands and recital of their confirmation verses.
The Rite of Confirmation included solemn vows of the parents, sponsors and congregation. Hymns played during the service included “All Glory, Laud, and Honor,” “We Praise You O God,” “These Are The Holy Ten Commands,” “Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee,” “Thine The Amen, Thine The Praise” and “Ride On, Ride On In Majesty.”
Members of the confirmation class, their parents and confirmation verses were Dawson Victor Gansebom, son of Shawn and Jennifer Gansebom, “I have finished the race, I have kept the faith," 2 Timothy 4:7b; Payton Jacob Oltjenbruns, son of Timothy and Rashelle Oltjenbruns, “And he said to them,
'Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men,'" Matthew 4:19; Jaxson Paul Wingert, son of Jared and Jennifer Wingert, "We love because he first loved us,” 1 John 4:19.
