center at Wakefield High School was transformed into a vibrant gallery of creativity on Tuesday, March 19, as students proudly showcased their artistic masterpieces at the annual Wakefield Art Club BIG Show. From captivating paintings to intricate sculptures, the event is a testament to the diverse talents and boundless imagination of the various schools' budding artists. Students from Allen, Bloomfield, Clarkson, Crofton, Homer, Howells-Dodge, Osmond, Pender, Ponca, Stanton, Wausa, Wakefield, Wynot, and Sargent Bluff-Lutton had artwork on display.

Among the highlights from the show were the works of Anna Kahny who was named as Outstanding School Artist for Osmond Community School by a vote of her peers. Kahny's work demonstrates technical skill, creativity, and passion for artistic expression; as well as reflects the hours of dedication and artistic exploration that she spends creating art even beyond the walls of the school.

Other students from Osmond who received Judge's Merits on their work included Erica Heiman, Xander Brown, Hunter Buchanan, Owen Severson, Baylen Guenther, Matthew Alderson, Caydence Krienert, Cody Gansebom, and Nico Morlans.

Junior high students receiving superior honors included Ella Klein, Korrine Moes, Ady Poellot, and Easton Steinkraus.

So as the curtains draw to a close on another successful high school art show, we would like to remind the community to take time to reflect on the power of art to inspire, connect, and transform lives. Through their creative endeavors, these students have not only showcased their talent but also left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of all who have had the privilege of experiencing their artwork.
