WAUSA – The LifeServe Blood Center held a community blood drive on Dec. 19 in Wausa.
The turnout was 12 donors, who contributed 16 units of life-saving blood. The units donated at the blood drive can help save up to 48 li ves.
The following people hit milestones with their most recent blood donations: Sharyn Miller, 10 gallons, and Craig Vanness, 10 gallons.
LifeServe expressed special thanks to Dave Carlson for coordinating the blood drive and additional gratitude to Wausa firefighters and rescue squad members for the use of the Wausa Fire Hall.
The next Wausa community blood drive will be held 2-6 p.m. Feb. 15 at the fire hall.
