GRAND ISLAND — Three members of the Osmond Wrestling Wizards of Oz (WWO) wrestling team qualified at the district meet for the state Nebraska USA Wrestling (NEUSAW) tournament held in Grand Island on Saturday and Sunday, March 16 and 17. Some 2,630 wrestlers participated in the tournament.
The wrestlers who qualified were Knox Koehler, Tripp Koehler and Mi chael Vinson. Tripp placed third in his weight bracket at the state tournament.
Results of the tournament are as follows: First-second grade 106 lbs. - Tripp Koehler lost to J. Krajeski, won over T. Hinrichs, R. Chvatal and O. Sheets, lost to C. Rolfes; placed third Third-fourth grade 100 lbs. - Knox Koehler won over S. Martin, lost to M. Moyer, won over A. Schuelke and V. Aguilar, lost to A. Mortimore; one match short of placing Fifth-sixth grade 85 lbs. — Michael Vinson lost to M. Mader, won over H.
Riggert, lost to J. Rucker; did not place
