OSMOND - The after school STEAM Club at Osmond Public Library on Thursday, March 14, is hoped to be the first of many, according to library
director LaVail Aschoff.
The STEAM Club will be held the second Thursday of every month from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m. at the library. It is available for ages 8 through 12, or younger with adult supervision. STEAM kits can also be checked out by an adult for those who are unable to attend.
The program is to encourage a broader look at career opportunities, to discover, create and increase awareness in the subjects of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. Toys, games, projects and books will be available to explore.
"The after school STEAM Club was a hit!" Mrs. Aschoff said. "Thanks so much to the kids and parents who joined us. Thanks also to Macy for volunteering to help while on spring break from college.”
This project was supported in part by state aid funding appropriated by the Nebraska Legislature, granted and administered by the Nebraska Library Commission.
