LINCOLN – Wausa High School senior Addison Wynia was recognized as a Believers & Achievers award winner on March 9.
The daughter of Eric and Sarah Wynia, Wausa, was honored during the halftime of the Class B high school boys basketball state championship game at Pinnacle Bank Arena, Lincoln.
Currency, a financial technology company, and the Nebraska School Activities Association announced this past fall that the younger Wynia had been named one of the 2023-24 Believers & Achievers.
Believers & Achievers is a statewide program designed to give recognition to Nebraska’s future leaders. Beginning in October and continuing through April, Wynia and 47 other Nebraska high school seniors are being honored as Believers & Achievers.
From those 48 finalists, eight will receive $500 scholarships from Currency – to use for the college or university of their choice – during a scholarship banquet set to be held April 21.
These students are being recognized at NSAA State Championships throughout the 2023-24 activities year and on a poster sent to all NSAA member schools.
