County officials attend Nebraska Association of County Officials annual conference

KEARNEY – County Treasurer Christine Bahr, County Assessor Jean Lubke, County Clerk Shannon Wragge, Veterans Service Officer Brett Rix, County Attorney Ted Lohrberg, Zoning Administrator Heather McWhorter and Clerk of District Court Vickie Prince had the opportunity to attend the Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO) Annual Conference in Kearney Dec. 13-15. It was a highly attended event that brought together more than 800 county officials to discuss important issues impacting communities throughout Nebraska.

KEARNEY — County Treasurer Christine Bahr, County Assessor Jean Lubke, County Clerk Shannon Wragge, Veterans Service Officer Brett Rix, County Attorney Ted Lohrberg, Zoning Administrator Heather McWhorter and Clerk of District Court Vickie Prince had the opportunity to attend the Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO) Annual Conference in Kearney Dec. 13-15. It was a highly attended event that brought together more than 800 county officials to discuss important issues impacting communities throughout Nebraska.

Following the conference theme of “Better Together,” several state leaders in Nebraska, including Bryan Tuma, executive director of the Nebraska Crime Commission, addressed attendees. Nebraska State Senators were also invited to attend the all-conference sessions and lunch on Thursday, Dec. 14.

Over the course of three days, the event offered both general and breakout sessions that focused on a variety of topics, including advocacy, mental health, disaster response, and economic development. Attendees also had the opportunity to network with local businesses as well as federal and state agencies within the conference exhibition hall.
