WAUSA – The LifeServe Blood Center held a community blood drive in Wausa on Feb. 15 and had a turnout of 13 donors.
People contributed 15 units of life-saving blood. The units donated during the blood drive at the Wausa Fire Hall can help save up to 45 lives. The following donors hit milestones with their most recent contributions: Mary Anderson, four gallons; Ronald Anderson, two gallons; and Michael Bernecker, one gallon.
LifeServe expressed a special thanks to Dave Carlson for his coordination of the blood drive and additional gratitude to Wausa fire a nd rescue personnel for the use of the site.
People are encouraged to sign up and donate at LifeServe’s upcoming area community blood drives and help save local lives.
LifeServe has scheduled a community blood drive for 12:30-6 p.m.
March 4 at the Bloomfield Community Center and a bloodmobile event for 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. April 16 at Wausa High School.
