OSMOND — The Community HOME Team (CHT) will meet at 7 p.m. next Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 3rd Street Bar & Grill to discuss upcoming events that the group sponsors. Among items on the agenda are the Summerfest celebration, the pancake feed and the Easter egg hunt.
Summerfest
This year, Summerfest is slated to be held in conjunction with the biennial all-school alumni reunion. The reunion will be held on Saturday, June 22, with Summerfest planned for Sunday, June 23.
However, without additional volunteers to help plan and organize the event, 2024 Summerfest is in jeopardy of happening. CHT would like to start planning and organizing for the event right away, so it is imperative that as many volunteers as possible step up to help.
March Pancake Feed
The community pancake feed will be held Sunday, March 17. A work list will be printed before the event, so members need to make sure they watch to see where and when they will be needed.
Easter Egg Hunt
The Easter egg hunt will be held on Saturday, March 23. Several members are needed to help with this event as well.
Members Sought
Please consider becoming a member of the organization and volunteering for one of these events. Membership in the group has once again been declining.
If there are more members, the work of this community group can be split up so that no one will have to take on too much. There are only a few events (Continued on Page 4, No. 2)

that Community HOME Team sponsors each year: Pancake Day in March; Easter egg hunt, usually March/April depending on when Easter falls; Summerfest in June; Halloween costume contest in October, and Santa Day in December.
We encourage business people in particular to join the organization. In order for businesses to thrive, the community must thrive. And in order for a community to thrive, it must enjoy these community events that bring people together.
