Lincoln Township to discuss possible tax levy increase

WAUSA – The Lincoln Township Board has scheduled a special hearing on its budget authority during its monthly meeting set for 8 p.m. Feb. 12.

WAUSA – The Lincoln Township Board has scheduled a special hearing on its budget authority during its monthly meeting set for 8 p.m. Feb. 12.

Lincoln Township Board members are planning to meet at the Lied Lincoln Township Library in Wausa to discuss and vote on whether to put the following resolution on the Knox County May 14 primary election ballot: “Shall Lincoln Township of Knox County, be allowed a property tax levy, whereas not exceed 13 cents per $100 of taxable valuation, and not to exceed the limits prescribed by law, until the fiscal year 2028-2029 for the purposes of general operations and maintenance of roads and to increase the restricted funds base $14,335 representing a 14 percent increase to the allowable growth percentage the first year?”
