OSMOND - With the first filing deadline for political office only a

week away — Feb. 15 for incumbents

- two more candidates have filed for office in Pierce County.

With the signing of John Steinkraus for Commissioner of District 1, there are now two candidates for that office, so this race will be on the primary bal- lot in May. The other person filing this past week is Tom Krause for Plainview School Board.

Filings thus far are:

Pierce County

Tom Kuether (Incumbent), Commissioner District 1 John Steinkraus, Commissioner District 1

Osmond

Mark Moes (Incumbent), School Board Dennis M. Kuhl (Incumbent),

Mayor Foster

Jerry E. Reikofski (Incumbent), Village Board

Plainview

Sarah Mae Doty, City Council Chance Anderson (Incumbent), School Board Deb Jensen (Incumbent), School Board Tom Krause, School Board

Pierce

Lee Acklie (Incumbent), City Council Tom Gubbels, City Council With only eight days left for incum- bents to file for office, city council members Dennis Haselhorst and Doug Schmit, as well as school board members Larry Krohn and Michelle Reikofski have yet to file.

The filing deadline for non-in cumbents for the primary election is March 1.
