WAUSA – Have no fear – snow, rain or sleet will not keep the Team-Mates Mentoring Program of Wausa from thanking its mentors.
After being postponed from Jan. 19 – during National Mentoring Month – the recognition of Wausa TeamMates’ mentors and their mentees has been rescheduled for Feb. 6 as Wausa’s high school basketball teams host Hartington-Newcastle.
People are encouraged to “Be There” to help honor the mentors.
The same schedule will be put into place, with the announcement of the mentor-mentee matches during halftime of the varsity girls’ basketball game and the “Chuck the Duck” fundraising contest during halftime of the varsity boys’ basketball game.
Another fundraiser that is going on right now is the sale of Almost Famous Popcorn. The business has teamed up with several TeamMates chapters to sell popcorn.
For the total bags sold, Wausa TeamMates gets back 35 percent of the proceeds. The sales will be done on Feb. 4. There are 12 different flavors to choose from.
People are asked to consider helping Wausa TeamMates. To order popcorn, people may go online to form.jotform.com/almostfamouspopcorn/ teammates-fundraiser- 2024.
