Rick Sirek retires from insurance business

It all began on Jan. 3, 1972. Rick Sirek began his insurance career working for the Black, Bovee, Chilvers Insurance Agency at Cones State Bank in Pierce. In 1979, Rick purchased the agency and in 1982, named it Town & Country Agency.

Through the years the agency expanded with locations opening in Norfolk, Plainview, Randolph, Osmond, Lindsay, Crofton, Clearwater, Valentine, and Hartington. In 2018 he sold the agency but continued to work and serve his customers. On March 31, 2025, Rick officially retired.

Sirek said, “It has been an extremely rewarding and satisfying experience to work with all the professional and friendly employees that have become close personal friends at Town & Country Insurance. I also want to thank all the clients who have blessed my insurance career for 53 years with their insurance business. I will be forever grateful.”

He and his wife Vicki plan to travel and spend time with family and friends. The Sireks have three children: Brooke (Ryan) Collison, Claire (Tom) Lancaster and Joshua (Christina) Sirek, and nine grandchildren: Brenna (Ashton) Wragge, Zach Collison, Luke Collison, Hank Lancaster, Jack Lancaster, Doc Lancaster, Brock Collison, River Sirek, and Willow Sirek. Their great-grandchildren are Emmie Wragge and Casen Wragge.
