Nebraska GOP elects new officers

KEARNEY — The Nebraska Republican Party State Central Committee at their regularly scheduled meeting Saturday, March 22, voted vice chair Mary Jane Truemper of Saunders County will be the next state GOP chair. Dave Plond of Grand Island remained in his position of treasurer after challenging Truemper. Both Plond and Truemper support the agenda of President Trump, and the populist take over of the country.

In the Third District the State Central Committee members elected Chris Vail, of Brule to serve a two-year term as chairwoman, Chris is currently the chair of Keith County and district chair rep for district 312. Morissa Benson of Harington, current Vice Chair of Cedar County and SCC rep for district 315 was elected Vice Chair of CD3 and John McHargue of Grand Island, who has served the Hall County Republican Party in various offices.

The new leadership will work together to build the conservative mandate put into place by the election of Donald Trump in November of 2024.
