OSMOND — Members of Community HOME Team, as well as the Chrome ‘N’ Smoke crew, met at 3rd Street Bar and Grill on Tuesday, March 11, to discuss upcoming events.
One of those events will be the annual Easter egg hunt, which will take place on Saturday, April 12. More information about that event will be shared in a future issue of the Republican.
As far as Summerfest, a request was sent out to the public as well as to current and former members of Community HOME Team for someone to head the planning of the event, with no one stepping forward. Therefore, there will not be a Summerfest celebration as such.
However, the Chrome ‘N’ Smoke truck show will be held again and will be even larger this year.
It will be held Friday through Sunday, June 27-29, with three bands and several food trucks scheduled to be in attendance, and the National Guard will be bringing several vehicles.
With the usual Summerfest activities not happening, the Chrome ‘N’ Smoke crew is working on getting some family friendly activities sched- uled at the ballfields.
In addition, the annual pancake feed will be held, with more information to be shared later, and the Ganseboom fireworks show will also be held Saturday night. The City of Osmond will also sponsor free swimming on Sunday, June 29.
More information about the entertainment and activities will be shared as it gets closer to the date.
