The AkSarBen Foundation is accepting applications for the Pioneer and Heritage Farm Awards. This award is presented by the AkSarBen Foundation in partnership with the Nebraska Farm Bureau and the Nebraska Association of Fair Managers. These awards honor the families who have held same family ownership of land for 100 years (Pioneer Award) and 150 years (Heritage Award).
Applications can be submitted online at aksarben.org/farm-family-awards. The deadline for applications is April 15.
Once applications are received, AkSarBen will process with the county farmland is located within. They will work with the County Fair Board to ensure all historic information and family lineage is verified. Once approved, an award and gate post marker will be presented to the family at the respective county fair.
