The OHS speech team traveled to Homer on Monday, March 10, for the conference speech meet and came home with runner-up honors. The Wausa speech team took home the championship.
The season continues next with District D1-3 Competition on Monday, March 17, in Wausa.
Performers placing first, second, and third at this competition will continue on to the D1 State Speech Competition on Friday, March 28.
“The speech team is hard at work perfecting their performances and growing with each competition,” said Coach Patricia Marks. “It is great to see student progress each week. We are looking forward to district competition and will work hard this week to prepare.”
