OSMOND — The Osmond speech team entertained the public at their annual speech night on Thursday, March 6. Because of impending weather, the event was moved from 7 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The team was split into three rooms for the individual performances, and then came together in the lunch room for the duets and OID performances.
Giving informative speeches were Jade Halsey and Erin Wagner, while Meagan Wagner and Erin Aschoff each had serious prose. Those with poetry were Kaleigh Miller and Adyson Poellot, and those with humorous prose were Justin Rohloff, Deanna Kumm and Jack Berg.
Giving persuasive speeches were Addison Miller and Piper Hoffman. POI speeches were given by Erin Wagner and Erin Aschoff, and entertainment was done by Donovan Heiman and Easton Steinkraus.
Duets were given by Donovan Heiman and Piper Hoffman, and Erin and Meagan Wagner. The OID groups were: 1) Donovan, Piper, Kaleigh and Addison, and 2) Jade, Jack, Meagan, Erin Aschoff, and Justin.
All gave wonderful performances. Creighton Invite The speech team competed at the Creighton invitational on Saturday, March 8. Osmond had a great showing of events at the Creighton speech meet, placing fifth out of 22 teams. Placings were as follows: Champs Finals: Meagan Wagner and Erin Wagner, duet, first Ava Reikofski, extemporaneous, second Jade Halsey, informative, third Piper Hoffman, persuasive, third Jack Berg, humorous, fourth Next-In Finals: Erin Wagner, informative, first Erin Aschoff, POI, second Jade, Erin, Meagan, Justin and Jack, OID, second Meagan Wagner, serious, third Erin Wagner, POI, third Donovan, Piper, Kaleigh, Addison, OID, fourth Donovan Heiman, entertainment, fifth Justin Rohloff, humorous, sixth
