Osmond girls, Dance Bright team shine in competitions

PLAINVIEW — Dance Bright Studio started their 2025 competitive season off strong by first attending the regional dance competition, Starz, in Omaha on Feb. 1, and then recently competing in Sioux City at Precision Arts Challenge Feb. 14-16.

Dance Bright brought home several top overall placements as well as hand-picked judges’ choice awards, category wins, scholarships, and top award, “Best in Show.”

The group will finish up their com petitive season in April in Omaha at a regional competition called Moxie.

The competitive team is made up of 77 dancers. Competitive dancers from Osmond include Berkley Aschoff, Clara Steinkraus, Evynn Kumm, Harlow Gansebom, Hazel Steinkraus, Olivia Schramm, and Penny Kizzire.

The team as a whole competes 36 routines, which include solos, duos, trios, group routines in all various styles such as hip hop, jazz, clogging, and contemporary.

To see these dancers in action, join them at their May recital on Saturday, May 3, and Sunday, May 4, at the studio at 702 East Park Avenue in Plainview.
