OMAHA — This past week, Feb. 20-22, the Osmond-Wausa wrestling team competed at the state tournament in Omaha. The team had three wrestlers qualify: Kaleb Gardner, Jaxon Vinson and Carson Bolz.
Out of the three wrestlers, Kaleb Gardner received a sixth place medal.
Jaxon won one match in the consolation round but ultimately was beat out. He fought very hard and just came up short.
Carson fought his hardest in his two matches, but fell short in the end.
Coaches Patrick and Nathan Vinson had nothing but praise to say to their two seniors for everything they’ve done this season, the leadership that they have stepped into and made their own. “These two individual men were a huge part of the team throughout the season and definitely will be missed next season. Kaleb Gardner, only being a sophomore, has room to improve and grow. We are looking forward to an excellent season next year.”
