(By CL Rotter-Hansen, Director of Football Operations) Andrew Carlson, president of the Northeast Nebraska All Star Football Classic Board of Directors, has announced the coaches, officials, and player rosters for the 2025 game. Dave Stoddard of Stanton and Cory Volk of Pender Schools have been named head coaches for the 12th Red vs. White Northeast Nebraska All-Star Football Classic.
The game will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk. The Board is trying a new format: practices Monday through Thursday with kickoff slated at 7 p.m.
Joining Stoddard on the White side will be Greg Wegner and Matthew Peter of Stanton, Joe Anderson of Oakland Craig, Kodiak French of Norfolk Public, and Kobe Lade of Battle Creek.
Joining Volk on the Red sideline will be Dan Swinton and Amp Ferg from Pender, Mike Naeve from Winside, Jason Konicek from Norfolk Catholic, and Mitch Hyde from Lutheran Northeast.
Among the players on the Red Team will be Jaxon Vinson of Osmond. He is a senior at Osmond High School and is the son of Nathan and Terin Vinson.
Football coach Bradley Wright commented, “The Wausa-Osmond football staff are all very proud of Jaxon Vinson for being selected for the All-Star game. It will be a great opportunity for him to showcase his talents and instincts on the gridiron, as well as one more chance to play the game he loves.
Despite missing the first game of the season due to an injury sustained before the season started, Vinson was still able to lead the Vikings in tackles on the season with 87 through seven games for a 12.4 average. In fact, Vinson had 32 more tackles than the second leading tackler on the team. Jaxon was also an important part of the team’s rushing attack as he accounted for 314 yards to go along with three touchdowns in a shared backfield. A team captain and leader, it will be exciting to watch him contribute to his team in the Classic!”
