The WWO team had a couple different tournaments going on this weekend. Some of the kids went to Atkinson and there was one who went to Pierce.
They wrestled very well having two of them as champions, and two of them as runners up.
“They should be very proud of their accomplishments and how far they have come throughout the season," said Coach Nathan Vinson.
Pierce Warbirds Girls Only Tournament
Fifth-sixth Girls' Bracket 15 - Peyton Aschoff placed second and scored 12.0 team points. Peyton lost by fall to Jordyn Sackville (Pierce Warbirds), won by fall over Lanie Painter (Pierce Warbirds) Atkinson Tournament Third-fourth 114-128 lbs. - Tripp Koehler placed first and scored 9.0 team points. Tripp won by fall over Coy Coburn (Husky Wrestling Club), won by fall over Dominic Deblauw (Crofton/Bloomfield) 5th-6th 101-110 lbs. — Knox Koehler placed second and scored 4.0 team points. Knox lost by all to Elijah Miller (Randolph), won by fall over Colt Frahm (Plainview Wrestling Club) 5th-6th 150-157 lbs. - Toby Koehler placed first and scored 6.0 team points.
