PLAINVIEW — The wrestling mats were alive with energy this past weekend as a group of young Tiger athletes stepped on the wrestling mat at Plainview’s “Walk the Plank” junior invitational. The youth wrestling event, hosted at Plainview High School, attracted wrestlers ranging from elementary school students to teenagers.

For many of these athletes, the experience marked the beginning of a journey into the world of wrestling.

Coach Patrick Vinson said, “I’m proud of these young athletes for their hard work and determination during the meet.”

The Wrestling Wizards of Oz will be back on the mats Sunday, Feb. 4, at Wayne High School.
