The second half saw the Lady Tigers struggle on the offensive end, as Wynot was able to keep their pace go- ing from the second quarter. Osmond fell to Wynot by a final score of 48-21.

The loss moved Osmond to the consolation bracket where they faced Winside on Thursday night, Feb. 6, in Creighton. The Lady Tigers were able to put together a solid first quarter and held a 12-7 lead. The second stanza saw the Wildcats match their own first quarter points, but the Tigers were able to extend their lead 21-14 by the halftime break.
A struggling offensive third quarter for Osmond gave Winside hope and a surge to tie the game up 24-24 go- ing into the final quarter. The fourth quarter saw Winside take the lead, but
Osmond was able to match it late in the quarter.
Both teams had opportunities to knock down the game-winning shot before the final buzzer, but neither had a successful try. Overtime was needed to decide the outcome of this match.

The win against Winside moved
Osmond into the fifth-place game Saturday, Feb. 8, in Wynot against
Winnebago.
The first quarter was a very close contest for the first six minutes. With
less than two minutes left in the quarter, Winnebago was able to go on a 5-0 run to double up Osmond’s
first quarter points and led 14-7. The second quarter would play out very similarly as Osmond would trail 14-29 going into the locker rooms at halftime.
The third quarter saw both teams trading shots as Osmond was able to get some shots to fall while attacking the basket, but Winnebago had been able to keep the pace up, slightly extending their lead 42-26.
A solid defensive fourth quarter for Osmond held Winnebago scoreless until the 3:20 mark of the quarter, which helped cut into the lead, closing the gap to a 31-42 margin with less than half the quarter remaining to play.
At that point Winnebago had answered the run and scored a basket to end their scoring drought. Unfortu- nately, Osmond's final surge fell short by the final buzzer and the scoreboard read 34-47.
Kaleigh Miller was one point shy of the double-double as she finished with a very solid game of 9 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals, and 3 blocks. Sophia Gansebom’s court vision was on display as she finished with a team-high 5 assists. Score by Quarter
