Wrestling action continued with the high school wrestlers competing at the conference tournament on Thursday and Neligh-Oakdale’s invitational on Saturday.
Conference Meet
Although the Tigers fell short in winning some matches on Thursday, Jan. 23, it was Aiden Stech who had a huge win in the Homer matchup. Aiden walked away with the pin and tied up the match. The Tigers would finish fifth as a team at the conference tournament.

Even though most of the team was feeling under the weather, they came and wrestled the best they have all season.”
Kaleb Gardner picked up two huge upset wins on his way to a third-place medal. and Jaxon Vinson placed fourth and also got his 100th career win. Tate Stolpe and Mason True wrestled all the way back through the bracket to receive fifth.
Vinson commented, “Looking forward to seeing wrestlers back in action at Plainview this coming Saturday.”
