Steinkraus takes oath of office
PIERCE — John Steinkraus of Plainview was set to preside as the newest member of the Pierce County Board of Commissioners at his first meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
Steinkraus took the Oath of Office as the District 1 Pierce County Com missioner on Thursday, Jan. 9. The oath was administered by Pierce County Clerk Magistrate Kristina Sehi at a ceremony held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, in the Pierce County Courthouse courtroom.
Commissioner Steinkraus was elected in last November’s General Election. His term runs for four years.
Pierce County District 1 includes the City of Plainview and Village of Foster, and the west half of Pierce County that includes eight (8) county precincts: North Dry Creek, Thompson, South Dry Creek, Foster, Willow Creek, Clover Valley, Mills, and Blaine.
