The Osmond-Wausa wrestling team had a busy week, traveling to O'Neill on Tuesday, Jan. 7, and to Winside on Friday, Jan. 10.
O'Neill Triangular
The Osmond-Wausa wrestlers participated in a triangular with O’Neill St. Mary’s and Ainsworth on Tuesday.
The team wrestled well after coming back after the Christmas break, even though there weren't many matches due to not having many kids at the same weights. Osmond-Wausa de- feated O'Neill St. Mary's 30-24, and lost to Ainworth 24-36.

On Friday, Osmond-Wausa traveled to Winside, The boys rose up to the challenge against some tough teams they will see at the district tournament. As a team, the boys placed fourth out of 17 teams while scoring 102.5 points.
Jaxon Vinson placed first to lead the team. Caleb Vinson placed second, Blake Hernandez placed third, and Kaleb Gardner, Carson Bolz and Tate Stolpe each placed fourth.
Coach Nathan Vinson commented, “Looking forward to heading to Battle Creek this coming Saturday.”
