The Osmond Tiger youth wrestlers competed at both Winside and Summerland on Sunday, Jan. 12.
Winside Invite WINSIDE — Rhett Kraft, Asher Dickey and Eli Dickey competed in the Winside invitational. Rhett Kraft placed first in the boys' fifth-sixth grade, 117-125 lb. division. Eli Dickey was second in the prekindergartenkindergarten 45-46-lb. group, and Asher Dickey placed third in the first and second grade, 58-60 lb. division.
The results are as follows: Boys PreK-K, 45-46 lbs. — Eli Dickey won by fall over Everett Brokaw (Winside Jr.Wrestling), won by fall over Kohen Voigt (Yankton Jr Bucks), lost by 2-19 tech fall to Liam Lund (Norfolk Catholic Takedown Club) Boys 1st-2nd grade, 58-60 lbs. — Asher Dickey lost by 17-20 sudden victory to Brodie Atchison (Stanton Broncos), lost by fall to Isaac Junck (Winside Jr.Wrestling) won by fall over Brantley Kesting (Pierce Warbirds) Boys 5th-6th grade,117-125 lbs. — Rhett Kraft won by fall over Kirby Gubbels (Wayne Wrestling Club), won by fall over Cameron Buderus (Pender Kid Dragon Wrestling) “Even though we only had three wrestlers competing, they all did very well after not getting much practice due to Christmas break!” said Coach Nathan Vinson. “It is a privilege watching as these youth wrestlers grow knowledge in the sport while showing much improvement with each meet!”
Summerland Bobcat Club Tournament SUMMERLAND — Beau Bahr, Holden Friedrich and Vernon Buol traveled to Summerland for their tournament.
