LINCOLN – All layers in Nebraska during December 2023 totaled 8.22 million, up from 6.80 million the previous year, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service.
Nebraska egg production during December totaled 215 million eggs, up from 161 million in 2022. December egg production per 100 layers was 2,612 eggs, compared to 2,371 eggs in 2022.
