HURLEY, SD — The Osmond Lady Tigers hit the road early Saturday morning, Jan. 4, to head to Hurley, SD.

Osmond was invited to take part in the inaugural Midwest Miracles Classic where they were scheduled to take on the Dell Rapids Lady Quarriers in the 9:30 a.m. game. The event consisted of a full day of basketball with multiple schools and teams competing across class divisions.

The Lady Quarriers got out to a very fast start, leading 19-3 after the first quarter of play. Osmond was more aggressive in the second quarter and got to the free throw line eight times, making 5 shots from the stripe.

Erin Wagner added a basket in the stanza, bringing the total points scored to 10 going into the halftime break.

Dell Rapids held a 28-10 advantage.

The Lady Quarriers used a strong third quarter, outpacing the Lady Tigers 18-6, to extend their lead 46-16 going into the final quarter. Osmond would fall by a final score of 19-57.

Erin Wagner led the effort for Osmond, scoring 6 points. Kaleigh Miller pulled down 9 rebounds and recorded 4 blocks in the game.
