Christmas morning dawned full of frost, as shown here on this fairy lawn ornament. Other than the frost, the weather was pretty nice, and only got better as the weekend approached. The temperatures reached into the upper 40s and lower 50s on the weekend, but that wasn’t the case on Monday. A Winter Weather Advisory was in effect from noon to 6 a.m. Tuesday. Snow was expected, with total accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, as well as blowing snow and slippery roads, in the forecast. Going into the weekend, the temperatures will dip into the teens for highs, and into the single digits for next week.
