OSMOND — The snow from the previous weekend didn’t hang around, but the weather was beautiful, with temperatures in the 50s, for Santa Day on Saturday, Dec. 7. The event once again included a pancake feed, served by members of Community HOME Team with help from the Osmond Fire and Rescue squad.
A steady stream of little kids lined up to see Santa, from infants to some “a little older,” and many of them in the pajamas they were encouraged to wear.
A couple of firms had containers available at their places of business and/or at the city auditorium to register for prizes. Winners of the Osmond Republican drawing are as follows: Turkey, Amanda Schieffer; subscription, Tom Borst.
Several other businesses, such as Tiger Town Food Center, Security Bank and West-Hodson Lumber, will draw their prizes at a later date.
Community HOME Team members express their thanks to the firemen for their help, and to Santa for coming to visit Osmond during his busiest time of year.
