OSMOND - The 2024-25 Unified Bowling season is nearing the end. The students have worked hard and improved throughout the season. Our four athletes and 13 partners this year have been a joy to coach.

We have been able to have all four teams compete at our two home events and one away, but have only been able to have two compete at our other away matches. Our four athletes, seniors Ella von Rentzell and Jamie Gubbels, along with freshmen Matthew Spangler and Payton Oltjenbruns, have all helped lead their teams to success and improvements.

Our partners have been very supportive this year: seniors Hudson Napier, Keely Gubbels, Landon Oltjenbruns, and Carson Bolz; juniors Jack Berg, Meagan Wagner, and Diana Scott; sophomores Kooper Gubbels, Donovan Heiman, Deanna Kumm, Delilah Koehler, and Ashlyn Spangler, and freshman Easton Steinkraus.

Tuesday, Oct. 29, had all four teams playing with one Randolph team. Our teams did very well, placing 1-4. On Tuesday, Nov. 5, we traveled to Humphrey and placed second, fourth, fifth and sixth.

Saturday, Nov. 9, sent us to Norfolk where we placed 11th and 15th. Our second home match was Friday, Nov. 15, against Central Valley, placing first, second, third, and sixth. Tuesday, Nov. 19, was our last regular season match in Wayne, placing second and third, beating team scores from Norfolk 1 and 2, Wayne 1 and 2, and South Sioux City 2.

Team high Baker Trio scores this year are: Team Ella 155, Team Jamie 145, Team Matthew 134, and Team Payton 101. Series high (6 games) so far: 731 Ella, Kooper, and Jack; 672 Jamie, Landon, Carson, and Donovan; 568 Matthew, Jack, and Meagan; 497 Payton, Deanna, Landon, and Easton. During practices bowling individual games, top three high scores: 183 Kooper, 166 Ella, and 161 Easton.

Our post season begins with District B-4 match in Wayne on Monday, Dec. 2, at 10 a.m. Representing Osmond will be Ella, Hudson, Kooper, Meagan, and Jack. We will compete against Blair, Bloomfield, Humphrey, Omaha Nation, Randolph, Wayne, West Point-Beemer, and Winnebago.
