Lila passed away on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk. Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Randolph is in charge of the arrangements. Lila was born on June 25, 1930, to Roley and Bessie (Silhacek) Isom Sr.

on a farm north of Sholes. She spent her childhood growing up on the farm and attended Sholes Public School, graduating in 1947 as valedictorian. After graduation, she attended Wayne State Teachers College and received her teaching certificate. She then spent several years teaching school in the Sholes/Carroll area. Lila married Charles H. “Charlie” Junck Jr. on Sept. 12, 1948, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wayne. Lila and Charlie spent many happy years farming and raising their family in the Carroll/Sholes area. After moving to Randolph in 1979, Lila worked at the Colonial Manor in Randolph. Lila liked reading her daily newspaper, doing crossword puzzles, and keeping up with current news events. She read many books, usually books related to history and World War II. Lila especially enjoyed visiting and hearing stories about her grandchildren, great- and great-great grandchildren and she was very proud of each one. She always had a story about them to pass on to the rest of the family, keeping everyone informed on what was going on. She was very good at remembering all of their names and birthdays. Lila was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Randolph.
