OSMOND — For more than 40 years, the Nebraska Hospital Association has been honored to bestow awards to Nebraska health care employees that have risen to the top by providing service excellence and dedication to their profession. These award recipients commit themselves to the betterment of their hospitals and health systems, their customers, their coworkers and their communities.
Each year, Osmond General Hospital (OGH) selects one of its members who exemplifies the values mentioned above to receive this prestigious award. Kelly Henery, RN, joined the OGH team in April of 2021, and has made a big impact on both patients and staff as noted by a coworkers that nominated her for this award.
“Kelly was my preceptor as a nursing student, and now we are coworkers. When I was a student, she was always ready to help me out, to teach me how to do new things, and was always fun to be around. The same is still true now. She has a very caring heart and always greets her patients and coworkers. She works hard to get the job done and makes teamwork a priority. Kelly has all the positive qualities of a nurse and is a golden model of what nurses should be. Even when things are stressful, she remains well put together and greets every challenge with a smile on her face.”
On Friday, Oct. 18, Kelly, along with award winners from all across Nebraska, attended a special lunch during the annual Nebraska Hospital Association convention where she received her award.
“Congratulations Kelly, you earned this!” said OGH CEO Lon Knievel.
