Lady Hawks have busy week

The Osmond-Randolph Lady Hawks were busy this past week with games Tuesday, Dec .12, against Creighton, Thursday, Dec. 14, at Bloomfield, and Saturday, Dec. 16, against Hartington-Newcastle.

Hawks vs. Bulldogs

OSMOND — On Tuesday the Hawks faced the Bulldogs in Osmond.

The first half saw the Hawks turn a two point lead after the first quarter into a one point lead going into halftime 13 to 12. The visiting Bulldogs used a big third quarter to take a 27 to 23 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Osmond-Randolph couldn’t close the gap to finish out the game as Creighton would claim the victory 39 to 34.

Hawks vs. Bees

BLOOMFIELD — On Thursday the Hawks traveled to B loomfield. A made three at the buzzer of the first quarter gave the Bees a 16 to 15 lead over the Hawks. The second quarter saw Osmond-Randolpli struggle to get a shot to fall and was only able to score 2 points in the quarter compared to Bloomfield’s 12 points.

The hometown Bees were able to slowly add to their lead each quarter; outscoring the Hawks 15 to 12 in the third, and 16 to 11 in the fourth quarter. RANDOLPH — On Saturday the Wildcats fromHartington-Newcastle came down to Randolph for a girlsonly afternoon of basketball. The offensive struggles continued for the Hawks as they were only able to net 27 points in the game compared to 46 for the Wildcats.

The JV girls played three games this week as well. Each game they played two quarters of action each night. Against Creighton the Hawks pulled off the win 17 to 13.

The Hawks will be back in action for one more game before Christmas when they travel to Tilden Thursday December 21 as they will face a very talented Elkhorn Valley team. JV girls get the action started with four quarters to play at 4 p.m. Varsity girls will follow the JV boys game.
