WAUSA – The recent winter weather has Wausa Public Schools to officially cancel and postpone several basketball games.
Wausa’s road contests at Tri County Northeast, which were supposed to happen on Jan. 18, have been canceled, while the Jan. 19 home games against Winside have been rescheduled.
Wausa boys basketball will take on Winside on Jan. 26, while Wausa girls basketball will play Winside on Jan. 31.
Other games Wausa has coming up are at Summerland on Jan. 25.
Previously, Wausa’s contests against Neligh-Oakdale on Jan. 9 and Osmond/Randolph on Jan. 12 were postponed due to winter weather.
Wausa has been set to play Osmond/Randolph on Feb. 5 and Neligh-Oakdale on Feb. 8.
The home games scheduled against Elkhorn Valley on Jan. 16 will not be made up.
The 2024 Lewis and Clark Conference Basketball Tournaments are scheduled to begin on Jan. 27 (girls) and Jan. 29 (boys) and end on Feb. 5.
