NORFOLK – Students from 20 schools traveled to Northeast Community College to take part in HAWKFEST.
HAWKFEST is an annual Honor Band and Honor Choir Festival hosted by the Northeast Music Department. It took place on Monday, Oct. 7, with students practicing together during the day. The day culminated with a concert at 5:30 p.m. in the Lifelong Learning Center.
More than 60 students were selected to be a part of the honor choir while the honor band was comprised of 35 students.
Among the students chosen for the honor band were Osmond High School students Erin Wagner on flute, Keely Gubbels on alto sax and Jack Berg on trombone.
