CROFTON — The Osmond cross country team traveled to the Lakeview Golf Course for the Crofton invitational on Thursday Sept. 26. This is a very competitive course with tough teams such as South Sioux City, Wayne, Norfolk Catholic, Crofton and Bloomfield-Wausa. Bloomfield-Wausa's junior, Luke Wookman, won the race in a time of 18:09, easily outdistancing the field. Mason True was the top Osmond runner, finishing in 27th place in a time of 20:30.77. Jack Berg came in at 37th place and covered the course in a time of 21:54.87 and Donovan Heiman was 42nd. Donovan’s time was 23:00.51.
Norfolk Catholic won the meet with Wayne coming in second.
In the junior high race, Trenton Wisely placed 18th in a time of 8:06.99.
“I was pleased with our toughness as we ran that tough, hilly course,” noted Coach Joe Ortmeier. Tigers run in the Stanton invitational on Thursday, Oct. 3.
