Makenzie Vargas
My name is Makenzie Vargas Toledo. I will be teaching fifth and sixth grade, and fifth through eighth grade math and science, as well as music for the whole school.
I was born and raised in Osmond, and graduated from Osmond High School in 2020. I am the daughter of Amie Aschoff and Miguel Vargas Toledo. My family also consists of my stepdad, Jerel Aschoff, and my stepmom, Graciela Perez Cancino.
As the youngest of four children, my siblings include Tanner Vargas, Michael Vargas and Shaylee Vargas.
I attended Northeast Community College for two years to receive an associates degree, then transferred to Wayne State College to complete my bachelor’s degree in education.
I was a daycare provider at Tiger and Friends Childcare in Osmond over the summer.
My hobbies include reading books, baking various sweets and visiting friends.
I am excited to work at St. Mary’s.
As a first-year teacher, I am very welcomed in the school. Each of the staff members has been a tremendous help in getting my classroom situated and ready for students’ arrival.
