2024 volleyball season to begin Monday

OSMOND — The Osmond High School volleyball team begins the 2024 season next week with a jamboree triangular in Osmond on Monday, Aug. 26, and a game at Wynot on Thursday, Aug. 29.

There are six returning letter winners on the team this year: seniors Brianna Kumm, Sophia Gansebom and Erin Wagner, juniors Abigail Brown and Erin Aschoff, and sophomore Alexa Aschoff.

Christy Koehler is the head coach, with assistant coach Ashley Koehler.

Coach Koehler commented, “The team has a very competitive spirit and they want to do the work to have a successful season. They have been asking for more practices and harder drills. Last year’s season gave them a taste of winning so they are ready for more. The girls spent the summer working on their strength, speed, and agility. We graduated six seniors so I am very excited to see this year’s leadership and the dynamic that they bring to the team.”
