WAUSA — The location for Wausa’s basketball games at Tri County Northeast on Jan. 18 has been changed.
Due to Allen Consolidated Schools hosting the 2024 Lewis and Clark Conference Wrestling Meet the same day, the Wausa boys and girls basketball teams are scheduled to play Tri County Northeast in Emerson instead of Allen.
The junior varsity girls teams are set to start at 4 p.m., followed by the junior varsity boys team at 4:45 p.m., the varsity girls teams at 6:15 p.m. and the varsity boys teams at 8 p.m.
However, there will be a rolling schedule, meaning both varsity games could start ahead of time so people are asked to plan accordingly.
In other scheduling news, Wausa’s basketball games against Neligh-Oakdale on Jan. 9 and Osmond/Randolph on Jan. 12 were officially postponed due to winter weather.
Wausa now has been set to play Osmond/Randolph on Feb. 5 and Neligh-Oakdale on Feb. 8. The home games scheduled against Elkhorn Valley on Jan. 16 will not be made up.
Looking ahead, Wausa is set to host Winside on Jan. 19 – Basketball Parents Night – for junior varsity boys basketball, varsity girls basketball and varsity boys basketball.
Wausa then is scheduled to travel to play at rival Bloomfield on Jan. 23 in junior varsity girls basketball, junior varsity boys basketball and varsity girls basketball.
Two days later, Wausa is set to again hit the road, this time to Summerland to play in junior varsity girls basketball, junior varsity boys basketball, varsity girls basketball and varsity boys basketball.
